Thursday evening, May 10, 2012 I attended the Heritage Awards ceremony at Market Square. Randy Miller, Head Geology and paleontology at NB Museum and Wanda Hughes from GoFudy Events were also in attendance. The Minister of Tourism Trvor Holder and members of NB Heritage Branch staff presented some awards.  The theme for the fair was War and Peace and there was a concentration of projects related to the war of 1812. Congratulations to Joseph Woytiuk a Grade 7 student at Bayside School as the first ever Stonehammer  Global Geopark Heritage Fair Award. His project was on Martello Tower. There were other entries as well that we will post in the photo gallery. Way to go…
