Thursday evening, May 10, 2012 I attended the Heritage Awards ceremony at Market Square. Randy Miller, Head Geology and paleontology at NB Museum and Wanda Hughes from GoFudy Events were also in attendance. The Minister of Tourism Trvor Holder and members of NB Heritage Branch staff presented some awards. The theme for the fair was War and Peace and there was a concentration of projects related to the war of 1812. The Stonehammer Global Geopark Board donated a prize award to a student project…See More

Minister Margaret-Ann Blaney will be making an announcement regarding North America's first Geopark, Stonehammer, on Friday, July 22nd at 10:00 am at one of our geosites, Rockwood Park.
